WHICH IS THE RIGHT DIRECTION?
Endre Tót is one of the most important artists of conceptual art and the mail art movement. His works are characterized by subversive wordplay and ironic exaggerations. In the 1970s, he used mail art to network with the international Fluxus scene from his birth country of Hungary. In 1978, he came to West Berlin on a DAAD scholarship and subsequently emigrated to Germany, thus escaping state censorship in Hungary. We are delighted to present two works that the artist reissued for the exhibition WHICH IS THE RIGHT DIRECTION?
