FIGURES OF DELAY
Waiting is part of our everyday lives: we wait for the bus, the train, in waiting rooms, at government offices, in traffic jams, or in line outside a club. Creative waiting for inspiration or joyful anticipation are among the more pleasant aspects of waiting; waiting takes on existential and political forms in places such as prisons or for refugees at national borders or civic offices. The exhibition Figures of Delay explores the different facets of waiting: How does waiting shape our lives, our politics, and our society? Who has to wait while others move forward? An exhibition about the rhythm of our lives and the forms of delay.
