The multimedia group exhibition Challenge by three artists, Tomáš Rafa, Patrick Goddard, and Xie Lei, marks a decade since the so-called “refugee crisis” of 2015 in the EU. On display are three impressive works of different genres: documentary videography, a satirical short film, and contemporary figurative painting. The participating artists were all born around 1980, but come from very different backgrounds. What connects them here is their work on the theme of migration and their examination of the specter of racism and xenophobia in Europe.
