Divine cargo

Gallery Russi Klenner is pleased to present Divine Cargo, an exhibition of new paintings by Ross Taylor. Whilst carrying something precious and somewhat illicit towards the outward extremes of the city of London, Taylor means to temper his most recent works with the visions and behaviours of a place he apparently knows all too well. A cursed and terrible patch, found just under the flight path and seemingly buffeted by the slag and penetrations of aggressive state groundwork.

The exhibition serves as a kind of pirate excursion, the proscribed nature of which puts you on par with some very weird and non-orthodox practices. Believing somehow to be involved in the production and distribution of some form of irrational substance, the artist aims to explore the dialectic relationship between supplier and devotee within his creative process, an association of a maddening habit.
