The Long Pond

Working across drawing, painting, relief, sculpture, and installation, Rodrigo Hernández (b. 1983, Mexico City) assembles carefully composed image constellations that probe perspective and perception, with his recent exhibitions venturing into speculative dream worlds beyond just the human. With The Long Pond, Hernández turns inward, toward more conscious forms of dreaming—those of desire and longing—creating a loose visual narrative that exists in the void between sleep and full alertness.
