Izabel Angerer's work explores the tension between order and spontaneity, control and emotion. Drawing on Heraclitus’ idea of constant transformation, she does reflect on the flow of time and its impermanence. Every process leaves a trace, a single moment that the Austrian artist isolates and retains. By suspending this moment, Angerer resists continual change. Thus, the trace, recorded through the moment by the artist, becomes proof of its existence.
