Radical Tenderness

The exhibition Radical Tenderness is Mascha Naumann's first solo exhibition in Berlin since graduating from the UdK, Universität der Künste Berlin, last year. On view are new mixed-media works that highlight collaborative working processes — between the artist*, club worker, and researcher* Mascha Naumann, xan egger and their collective practice ( )s-p-a-c-e, the photographer and artist Callum Leo Hughes, as well as various other collaborators from Berlin's rave and subcultural scenes. The works examine non-normative realities, social mobility, counter-public working worlds within club culture, and dissocial narratives of the subcultural practice of raving. The working process itself interrogates narratives of ownership, representation, responsibility, and control, and is grounded in the uniqueness of subjective-collective relationships and bonds of trust.
