Diaspora Wonderland. Fashioning Worlds

Fashion is an act of creation, revealing our intimate relationship to time and to bodies. Diaspora Wonderland explores fashion as a sensory and cultural thermometer: a medium that reflects and anticipates shifts in identity, gender, sensuality, heritage, and imagination. The exhibition explores diasporic experiences and identities. Through the dialogue between artists and designers, it makes visible the circulation of craftsmanship, aesthetics, and knowledge within diasporic communities, while simultaneously fostering exchange with Berlin’s local fashion scene and creative industries.
