A Place to Stay

A Place to Stay is an exhibition by artist Iván Argote (*1983, Bogotá) that reconsiders the meaning of public space. Through sculptures, installations, films, and performances, Argote explores power structures, social narratives, and forms of coexistence. His concept of “Radical Tenderness” combines critique and protest with humour, empathy, and visions of new solidarities. At its core is the long-term project Activissime, in which Argote has led protest workshops with children worldwide for over 15 years. Three films trace its development and reflect on the political and symbolic dimensions of public space.
