In her solo exhibition My body is my studio at the Schwartzsche Villa, Niina Lehtonen Braun explores the female body and its changesTo this end, Niina Lehtonen Braun collects stories, anecdotes, and memories from other women on this topic, which she translates into her ink paintings and narrative collages. Curated by Christine Nippe, the exhibition presents an alternative exploration of femininity and offers a different narrative than the one long practiced by medicine, which was primarily based on the male body and thus paid little attention to the unique characteristics of the female body.
