ATNA
Dyachenko uses models as a tool to combine fiction and reality. She often brings them together with elements that form a fictitious landscape within space. The starting point for the upcoming exhibition is shipping and the associated transport of resources, as well as their extraction and storage. Thereby, Dyachenko emphasizes ships as terrain shapers in a double sense: new landscapes are built with the transported materials, but areas are also shaped by the shipping infrastructure. In the gallery, scenarios are created that don’t reveal whether they represent future possibilities or failed attempts.
