In Nobody’s Service
As much of the migration histories of Thai and Filipina gendered bodies have been shaped by the neocolonial system of white desires, the industry of monogamous marriage, and sex/care labor, this project offers rather polyphonic, polyethnic, and interdisciplinary artistic views on the past, present, and future, trying to rewrite our histories between the gaps. Featuring new works by collective un.thai.tled’s research (with painting-sketching, performance, filmmaking, and archivation) and existing works from artists associated with Banying Berlin and Gabriela Germany, IN NOBODY's SERVICE carves out worlds and relationality beyond the realms of their white husbands or social conditions, providing access to knowledge and healing effects of storytelling and activities usually associated with the "service sector"—now in nobody’s service.
