The international group exhibition marks the start of the anniversary year and focuses on the opening of the museum in 1950 as the first newly founded museum in post-war Berlin. A critical reconstruction of Georg Kolbe's studio serves as a starting point for questioning museumization, the construction of memory and artistic heritage. The show examines forms of remembrance in private and public contexts and features works by Marion Verboom, Álvaro Urbano, Cao Fei and Danh Võ, among others.
