Techno-ecologies and bodies of memory: the environment as battleground
Techno-ecologies and bodies of memory: the environment as battleground is a multilayered exhibition that develops through satellite spaces and artistic interventions, extending across geographies, and media. The project examines the environment as a contended, contested, and torn arena, in which political, social, economic forces and tensions converge and clash. It explores the role of non-human entities as sites of memory, and it critically examines the role played by digital technologies in the governance of data and their preservation. The exhibition proposes different artistic perspectives on questions such as, how do earth-beings as bodies rewrite memory? By what means do they enact their struggle, and activate strategies of self-healing from wounds that colonialisms and imperialisms generate?
