The MENSCH BERLIN Anniversary Exhibition celebrates the 40th anniversary of the Kunstsammlung der Berliner Volksbank and the Stiftung Kunstforum Berliner Volksbank. Featuring over 70 artists, it explores the Kunstsammlung der Berliner Volksbank – an extensive collection of figurative artworks from the post-war era. The exhibition traces the transformation of the art scene in Berlin and its surrounding regions – reflecting the Berlin Wall’s division of the city, the turbulent period of Germany’s reunification, and the tension between East and West. A selection of artworks will rotate throughout the exhibition. The show will continue in Vienna at the Bank Austria Kunstforum Wien (9 July – 31 August 2025).
