Casting Currents, curated by Livia Klein, is an immersion into the porous boundaries between nature, culture, and materiality in the Anthropocene—a time in which human impact has become the pulse of the planet. Rather than treating materials as passive objects, the exhibition draws on posthumanist theories to conjure a speculative environment where materials themselves act as protagonists. By resisting linear narratives of progress or recovery, a fragmented habitat in which materials perform, resist, and reconfigure their own ontology under the weight of planetary collapse is presented. This is not an exhibition about solutions. It does not claim clarity, nor does it offer redemption. Instead, it drags viewers into a liquid state of being, a sandbox where the narratives of agency, time, and matter are rewritten. In the fluid ambiguity of the exhibition, boundaries dissolve, and what remains is an uncanny mirror reflecting both the debris of the past and the emergent possibilities of the future.
