A Paradise on Earth – To My Dearest Foot Skin
An immersive spatial installation explores the foot as a cultural and symbolic body site shaped by shifting meanings. Between devaluation, care, spirituality, and everyday practice, the exhibition traces connections to shame, intimacy, labour, and social proximity. Drawing on Western religious imagery, Buddhist thought, and Chinese medicine, the foot appears as a link between body and earth, interior states and collective rituals. Materials, textiles, light, and sound create an environment that stages gestures such as washing, drying, and resting. The foot is understood as a carrier of memory, vulnerability, movement, and shared image production.
