An Intimacy with Strangers
The group exhibition explores the relationships and entanglements between human and non-human life. It addresses how our existence depends on all other living beings on this planet – on those whose air we breathe and who provide us with food and materials essential to life. Photographic works, videos, and objects explore moments of contact, care, and desire between different inhabitants of Earth, or ‘planetmates,’ as the biologist Lynn Margulis put it.
