In the Light. zwischen Materiellem und Immateriellem. focus on neon + in the collection
With its striking use of neon lights and vibrant colours, neon art has developed its own unique visual language. From its origins in commercial signage in urban spaces to its development into a recognised art form, neon art has continually pushed the boundaries of what can be made visible with light and colour. Through text-based or sculptural illuminations, the artists explore the intersection of light, colour and space, as well as the relationship between pop culture and consumption. The exhibition "In the Light, focus on Neon +" showcases language-based and abstract neon artworks, offering visitors the opportunity to experience their reflective ambiguity and cross-media forms and applications.
