Judgment and Calculation brings together three systems of colour. Sonneck layers colour on paper, later arranged into site-specific installations. Becker reproduces RAL colours and the GDR’s TGL standards, the latter vanished with the state. Van den Dorpel generates colour algorithmically, across distributed systems. Body, norm, algorithm — three distributions of judgment and calculation.
